The Capitala team, along with family and friends, hit the pavement this past weekend for the BB&T Corporate Cup 5K & half marathon in Charlotte, NC. The race is a friendly competition between individuals, small business, and some of the major corporations in the Charlotte metropolitan area. The race is in its 35th year of supporting the YMCA Community Support Campaign, which allows the YMCA of Greater Charlotte to provide youth programs, health initiatives, and a sense of community throughout the area.
Capitala had 16 members run the 5K portion of the race. Our newest employee, Stephen Riddell, placed top 5 in the men’s overall rankings, finishing with a highly impressive time of 19:09! We want to thank the YMCA, BB&T, and all the other sponsors for allowing us to participate in such a great event!
