
After an early career in banking and real estate finance, Edward “Elliott” Crutchfield, Jr. purchased his first company in 1997 at the age of twenty nine. After building this company for several years, Elliott formed Crutchfield Capital, LLC as a holding company which has acquired and operated numerous companies over the past twenty plus years. Crutchfield Capital has held a controlling interest in companies in such industries as commercial airline service, theme/amusement park service, medical imaging, information technology, textiles and home improvement among others .
As Chief Executive Officer of Crutchfield Capital, Elliott is responsible for the overall leadership of the firm. He oversees all acquisition / divestiture activity, as well as the management of the senior executives of the various operating companies. He has also served as CEO of several operating companies early in the life of an investment or in times of underperformance.
In addition to the firms in which he holds or has held a controlling interest, Elliott has served on the boards of Vita Nonwovens, Aymira Partners (now Abound Health Group), Contract Sweeping Services, Proactive Dealer Services and NewGen Energy Holdings.
Elliott has also served on numerous non-profit boards, including The United Way of Central Carolinas, Charlotte Emergency Housing, The Asheville School, The Fletcher School (Chair) and The USO of North Carolina (Chair).
Elliott received a BA in Economics from Davidson College and an MBA from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania.
